Taos Site Terms

This privately owned site is not affiliated with Taos County, a sheriff, jail, court, or corrections agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services.

Nature of the Service

Taos County Released Inmates is a private reference that points readers toward official release, court, supervision, and custody resources and may connect them with outside research tools. It stores no government records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a document for a user.

Acceptable Use

By using the site, a visitor agrees to act lawfully and responsibly.

  • Do not use content to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Do not use information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another prohibited decision.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
  • Do not operate bots or scrapers without written permission.
  • Do not disrupt access or impair another visitor’s use.

FCRA Restrictions

This site is not a consumer reporting agency and offers no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Users agree not to rely on its content or linked tools for hiring or termination, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Links to Other Services

Links may lead to government portals, release records, sheriff or corrections resources, legal information, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. The destination controls its own content, availability, data handling, prices, and terms.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error free, or that a partner search will find every responsive record. Custody and public-record details change, and nothing here is an official statement from Taos County or another government body.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an external service.

Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its operators, and content partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees that arise from the user’s conduct, misuse of information, or violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, the site’s original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Taos County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, or modified without written permission, apart from uses allowed by law.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after publication means the visitor accepts the revised terms.

Access and Termination

Access may be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time, with or without notice, when needed to protect the site, its users, or its legal interests.

New Mexico Law

These terms are governed by New Mexico law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in New Mexico.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About These Terms

General questions about these site terms may be directed through the Contacts page. Government record and custody questions must go to the office that holds the information.
